An object at rest tends to stay at rest, and that seems to be Demyx's primary goal in life. Most of his dialogue and scenes over the course of two games involve him complaining about not being cut out for whatever he's tasked to do. In Organization XII, a group characterized by being powerful and mysterious, he seems to be neither, and his competence is questioned by both the game's protagonist and his fellow members at times. It's understandable, seeing as he does nothing to make anyone think otherwise.

His demeanor is laid-back with both allies and enemies.
